Glitz, Glitter, and Glophics: Highlights from Our 2025 Year-End Party
Here at Glophics, its employees are the backbone of the company’s success. Without everybody doing their best infallibly, the company would not be where it is today. So, every year, as a long-standing tradition, the company celebrates its employees and their achievements throughout the year. Recognizing the dedication, hard work, and milestones that shaped our success. As well as embracing the Christmas Spirit with good food, exchanging gifts, some dazzling performances, and shared laughter all throughout the night.
The night’s theme was ‘A Night to Shine’, and shine it did because everyone, well, almost everyone, wore their most shining, shimmering outfits to Parklane Hotel in Cebu, the chosen backdrop of the evening’s festivities. The night glimmered literally as employees walked down the Runway of Radiance in subsequent pairs. The gentlemen with their bedazzled coats and holographic silk shirts, and the ladies with their dresses and gowns seemingly speckled with the stars themselves.
Everything sparkled, from the décor to the outfits, though it was hard to tell what was shining brighter: the lights, the people, or the smiles on everybody’s faces as they eagerly waited for the main event to begin.
But of course, proper festivities didn’t start until a prayer was made by one of the admin staff, Ms. Kyla, and a sparkling toast from our very own Ms. Marichu Alipar. After the evening’s formalities were made, dinner was finally served. The employees enjoyed a scrumptious buffet of festive dishes, from a refreshing salad to a rich and savory lechon. Then topped off with decadent cakes that, I think most of us would agree, were the absolute highlight of the evening’s dinner.
Speaking of highlight, while everyone was enjoying their food, several individuals were meticulously preparing for something on the sidelines. Laughter and cheers flared up as makeup kits were opened. Dresses unfurled. And wigs were combed and carefully adjusted to fit on one’s head. Commotion flared up on one side of the room as one of our beautiful emcees, Miss Claire, announced that the main event was about to start. 5 minutes later, the room finally settled down as those individuals were ushered out of the event hall.
Murmurs of excitement spread throughout the room as, finally, the doors swung open. Five men—no, women—no, men in women’s garb, makeup, wigs, heels, and gowns—walked down the red carpet to the stage as the Master of the Ceremony announced this year’s Year End Party’s main event: Glophics’ Miss Shimmering Diva 2025, a dazzling celebration of talent, charm, and over-the-top glamour from five electrifying participants. Each hails from a different department. Introducing;

- Ms. Lory Mae Marie of the Dev Team
- Ms. Nella Sup-Sup from the Admin Team
- Ms. Maria Rica Mapagmahal from the Marketing Team
The introduction and the production number were met with cheers and applause and hollering and laughter. With food in their belly and the main event fully underway, everybody was having a wonderful time. After the last round of introductions had been made, both from the participants and the judges, the divas were then given 10 minutes to prepare for the next part of the program, the talent showcase. During that time, the emcees proceeded to do a round of Manito/Manita. Festive merriment spread as the gifts were exchanged, each one was accompanied with surprise and gratitude as mostly everyone got what they put on their wishlist. Nevertheless, the Manito/Manita element of every Christmas party perfectly captures the spirit of giving, camaraderie, and holiday cheer.
Calling the talent showcase of the program explosive would be an understatement. Clapping and cheers and applause almost tore the roof off the place. It rained men. The stage got a sultry, sizzling dance. The Honmoon was sealed twice in one night. A boxing match happened somehow. And some gravity-defying acrobatics that only a total sparkling icon could manage. Ribs ached with laughter, and smiles stretched from ear to ear as the chaos unfolded. Once the talent showcase was over, the wonderful emcees then wound everyone down gently with the Distribution of Plaques and Recognitions.
This segment of the night was dedicated to honoring the hard work, commitment, and standout contributions of our colleagues. From everyday efforts to extraordinary achievements, the evening showcased the brilliance each employee brings to their team and to Glophics as a company. Each awardee received a certificate and tokens of appreciation from the management. Raffles for each department were also held during this intermission. Lucky winners and esteemed awardees also took the opportunity to have their photos taken on stage, capturing the excitement and pride of the evening.
The night’s shining contenders went back in the spotlight once again for the grand finale: The Question and Answer portion of the night. Thought-provoking, slice-of-life, and even classic pageant questions were only some of the few questions the judges had prepared for them. The wit and intelligence of our contestants were tested, but of course, they prevailed. The emcees then asked for a final showcase of their final gowns and went off-stage to wait for the final results.
While waiting, the final round of Manito/Manita was wrapped up. Some may have gotten a Noche Buena bundle instead of the book he asked for. But the spirit of Christmas implores us to appreciate every gift we receive. To always accept these with gratitude in our hearts. At this point, the titles for the Runway Royalty were also presented. Mr. Daryl has claimed the gentlemen’s crown for 3 years in a row now. While the title for the ladies went to one of our truly spectacular emcees, Miss Archel.
The night’s festivities are slowly winding down now, as the room brimmed with smiles, full stomachs, and gifts exchanged in the spirit of Christmas. All that was left was the most anticipated moment of the evening: crowning this year’s Shimmering Diva.
One by one, the runner-ups were announced, each name met with cheers, applause, and knowing grins as the field narrowed. And at last, the final name was called.
The room erupted. The crown found its Shimmering Diva.
Who was it? I could tell you. But some moments truly are meant to be experienced, not just read about. You really just had to be there.
That just about concludes ‘A Night to Shine’, Year-End Party 2025. A night of recognition, camaraderie, and shared joy. And when the lights dimmed and the night came to a close, one thing was clear. Beyond the laughter, the cheers, and the performances, the heart of this celebration truly was the people who make Glophics what it is. So here’s to more milestones, more memories, and many more nights where we all get to shine. And as we step out of the bright lights, may we always remind ourselves that the greatest brilliance comes from the people behind the glow.
