Year End and Christmas Party – 2022: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
It’s that time of year again. Time to let our hair down and celebrate the end of the year. Because of the pandemic, the opportunities to go out and have some fun have become quite limited. We at Glophics have taken this chance to help the staff members reconnect and get reacquainted with each other after a difficult couple of years of being cooped up at home and the office.
To go out with a bang, the employees choose a theme that’s all about glitz and glamor: A theme centering on Hollywood. This theme lets everyone show off their fancier side. Everyone came in dressed in their best clothes. You can always count on the employees from Glophics to work hard and look good.
The event was held at the fabulous Quest Hotel on December 17, 2022. Employees were free to hang out and engage with their colleagues before the event began. The fancy venue matches well with the golden theme of the party.
The event begins with an opening speech by the general manager of the Glophics office, Mr. Edgardo, Enot. After the speech was done, it was time to begin the program for the night.
Knowing how hard each employee worked to dress up for the occasion, they were given the chance to show off their outfits. We’ve gotta say, the employees did not miss showing all of their great party clothes.
Once everyone had had their turn on the runway, it was time to eat dinner. Glophics prepared a banquet for its beloved employees. There was enough for everyone to eat and prepare for their presentation later in the night. Shortly after everyone had their dinner, each team was called upon to perform and do a presentation.
Each department had unique presentations, providing the viewers with entertainment and fun. Aside from the dance presentation, many teams incorporated comedy sketches, singing, and other things to separate themselves from the competition. But the fun doesn’t stop there! The games came shortly after. The first game featured charades and the second required players to build a tower out of crafts. These activities all provided the employees with the opportunity to earn generous cash prizes.
When the excitement died down, it was time to honor the excellent employees on a job well done for the entire year. Certificates were given out to members who had been promoted to leadership positions. Employees who reach 5 and 10 years working in the company are also given a special award for their service. Last but not least, the star of the night was crowned as well.
Aside from the games and awards, employees also partook in the time-honored tradition known as Secret Santa. Exchanging gifts and pleasantries have helped everyone become closer to each other. With everyone receiving a gift on their wish list, it is safe to say that everyone won that night.
